  <abstract>Surdex Corporation provided airborne assets in response to post flooding conditions at the specific areas designated along portions of the Elk Horn in Nebraska. The photo & Lidar missions were acquired when the river was at a low stage and trees were leaf free during the fall of 2011. Surdex collected digital 4 Band (RGB & IR) imagery using the Z/I DMC and ortho-rectified all imagery using the newly acquired Lidar elevation data. The LiDAR elevation data was collected at a 1.4 meter spacing across the same project area. The project required imagery, LiDAR & mapping over approximately six hundred ninety-four (694) square miles along the Elk Horn River. The general purpose of the imagery collection and processing is twofold: . To provide data for others to visually denote and quantify inundation damage areas from no damage areas . To provide data for others to visually denote and quantify degree of damage as heavy, moderate and light and for future H&H analysis.</abstract>

  <procdesc>Acquisition with ALS50 at 1900 meters AGL, 34 deg FOV, 121,300 pulse rate, 49.0 Hz, 20% sidelap, 1.4 meter NPS. All flights have calibration lines flown at beginning and end of flight over GPS basestation at local airport. Base stations are run at all times and placed so flight baseline never exceeds 25 miles. The bare-earth Lidar data was processed using USGS (NGP) Base Lidar Specifications V13. The resulting digital terrain data will support production of 2' contours. Hydro features were collected on streams and rivers 30~ feet or wider and on lakes 2~ acres or larger. These lines were hydro flattened into the Lidar data and delivered in ESRI SHP file format. All deliverables meet or exceed standards for both vertical and horizontal accuracy as stated in NDEP Guidelines for Digital Elevation Data, Version 1.0 for NSSDA of 95% confidence for 2-ft contours and ASPRS Class I Standards.</procdesc>
